Jennifer Galgano, Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor
Jen is a long time yoga practitioner who used yoga in her own pregnancy to help alleviate stress and and prepare for the arrival of her daughter. She believes that her yoga practice made a significant difference during her own birthing experience. Jen has over 300 hours of yoga teacher training including a 100 hour certification in prenatal yoga. She leads prenatal classes that are accessible to all women throughout their entire pregnancy.
In the prenatal class you can expect to use breathwork and meditation to cultivate mindfulness and connect with your body’s innate wisdom about giving birth. You will stretch and strengthen the muscles that support your baby and pregnancy and benefit from much needed relaxation. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet other moms in a safe, open community that encourages you to freely discuss what you are experiencing.
Dana Peterson, LCSW and psychotherapist offers Woman’s Group at Gratitude Yoga
Dana Peterson, LCSW and psychotherapist in Lawrenceville, has offered to lead a Woman’s Group at Gratitude Yoga where we will explore relationships with ourselves and others. We will practice observing ourselves without judgment, noticing how we connect and disconnect, learning to be curious rather than critical. Through discussion, journaling, movement, gentle yoga poses, reading, imagery/breathing/meditation exercises we will look at behavioral and emotional patterns that no longer serve us, discover new rituals/skills that better serve us, and gain the courage to inplement them in our lives. Patience, unconditional love and kindness will be fostered in this group.
The group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month, from 7.15 to 8.45 pm beginning Feb. 16.
Sessions are offered by donation, suggested donation, $35
